Insider Stole Sold Customer Data

An employee of an apartment management complex in Tennessee stole and then sold current and former residents’ and applicants’ personal information (PII). Stolen data included peoples' Social Security numbers, bank account information, drivers' license numbers.

The employee was arrested when they tried to sell the customer data to an undercover agent for federal law enforcement.
